We know you’re going to love Gatlin’s Escape Games, but if it’s your first time visiting, you may have a few questions. Listed below are some of our most frequently asked questions, but if you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, give us a call!

What is An Escape Room?

Escape rooms are the newest in live, interactive entertainment. “Locked” in a room with other participants, you will work together as a group to find clues, solve a series of puzzles, and ultimately escape before your time runs out.

Fair warning: escape rooms are highly addictive!

Am I actually locked in the room?

It is true that the main entry door will be locked until you complete your mission. However, all rooms are equipped with an exit button in case of emergency, so you will always have the option to leave at any point.

I'm claustrophobic. Would it be something I could do without getting sick?

Our games are designed to accommodate everyone. However, some elements have smaller spaces incorporated to enhance gameplay. No door will lock behind you as you progress through the game, and in the event of an emergency, you can leave the room at any point. How long is each game?

You will have up to 1 hour in each room to achieve your goal, escape, and win the game.

What ages can play?

Our rooms are designed for participants 12 and up. All ages are welcome, but keep in mind that many challenges require critical thinking that may be difficult for younger children. We do require that any participants 12-17 be accompanied by an adult, and any group with participants under 12 must book the entire room as a private event.

How many people can play?

The Legend of Atlantis is designed for groups of 2-6 players. For larger group accommodations, please contact us at 865-436-2326.

Can my group play alone?

All slots in a room are booked first come, first serve. In order to book a private event, you must book all available slots for that timeframe. If there are open slots available, you may be paired with other participants.

Will there be an employee watching the game the entire time?

Yes. Your escape guide will monitor your progress in order to provide assistance with your game experience; when you are stumped, feel free to ask for clues!

Can I book ahead and pay for it later?

Considering you are reserving time slots, we require full payment at the time of booking. You can book online or over the phone with a credit card, or you can reserve in person with cash or card.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Generally, game slots fill up quickly. If you have a specific time and date in mind, be sure to book as soon as possible.

Can I cancel my booking anytime?

We have a strict no cancellation policy. We will gladly attempt to reschedule a time with at least a 24 hour notice.

When do I need to arrive, and what if I’m late?

We strongly encourage participants to check in 15 minutes in advance of scheduled game time. Due to time constraints and other guest experience, late participants will not be allowed in the room once a game has started.

What do I need to bring?

The only thing you need to bring is your brain – everything else is provided for you in the room.

What if we can't Escape?

The Escape Room experience is not always about the “escape” as it is about challenging yourself and working with friends and strangers alike to conquer the obstacles in front of you. Make sure to utilize your clues when you feel stumped! Although conquering the game is quite satisfying, do not be discouraged if you cannot escape in time!

Can I take pictures or video while in the room?

All photography is strictly prohibited; however, there will be ample time after the game to take pictures with teammates. Along those lines, cell phones and other electronic devices must be stored before entering the game – usage is not allowed during game play.

Where are you located?

We are located at 716 Parkway, Suite 214, Gatlinburg, TN 37738, between traffic lights 6 and 8, in the Reagan Terrace Mall.

Where can I park?

While we do not have our own parking lot, there is a Pay Parking lot directly across the street from us on the Parkway in the middle of Gatlinburg plus many other parking lots throughout Gatlinburg. Please be sure to factor parking and walk time into your schedule, as games cannot be started late.
